Crumb Donuts {recipe}

Make 24 cake donuts and holes (any gluten free recipe)

  • 4 T  melted butter
  • 5 T Egg whites
  • 2-2 1/2  cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup toasted fine unsweetened coconut
  • ½ cup toasted ground almonds
  • 1/2 -1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Make gluten free cake donuts and holes.  Crumble holes.  Toast coconut.  Grind and toast almonds.  Cool.  Combine holes, coconut, almonds, sugars, nutmeg and sunflower seeds.  In a separate bowl, combine butter, egg whites, and powdered sugar.  Mix well.  Spread a thin layer of glaze on each donut.  Then pat crumbs onto donut.  Best the day they’re made.
